Those are the words that started our family owned business back in 1975. Four generations later we blend that work ethic and know-how with today’s modern technology, and the results are the finest blades in the meat packing industry. Our founder, Gerald, was a retired iron worker looking for something to do. He started sharpening handsaws and eventually grew into sharpening about anything else that you could put an edge on…. steel circular blades, router bits, jointer knives, planer knives, carbide tipped blades, and more.
Toward the end of his career as a sharpener, he began sharpening for the local meat packing company that could not effectively cut meat with its current provider and thus began our legacy. We purchased the business in 1989 so he could enjoy his retirement. We moved the business to our shop and ran it as a general sharpening business. We crafted with pride, just as Gerald did, in our quality of sharpening and customer service.
We were interested in establishing long term relationships. We worked for a variety of industries such as cabinet making, countertop manufacturers, door and window manufacturers, and glass companies. It was not long before our reputation caused us to decide on automated techniques to increase our productivity and meet the demand for our high quality work.
